Proterial America is the largest roll maker in Japan, supplying approximately thirty-five percent of the Japanese market. Rolls are made in Wakamatsu Foundry.

The Wakamatsu Foundry manufactures cast rolls for flat rolling and long products. This foundry also supplies sialon tubes for aluminum casting and cast cylinders for plastic extruders and injection molding machines. The Wakamatsu Foundry is one of the world's only suppliers of CPC (continuous pouring for cladding) rolls.

Proterial America rolls have been supplied to over 90% of steel makers in North America. Recent product developments include expanding sales in the flat rolled market and the structural products market. A plant expansion in Japan increased capacity for powdered metals rolls.
